To take account of the public health state of emergency and pursuant to the provisions of Order 2020-303 of 25 March 2020, the deadlines for appealing against fixed penalty notices and fixed fines sent by ANTAI were doubled, as of 12 March 2020 and until one month after the end date of the public health state of emergency (reminder of the rules during the public health state of emergency).
The public health state of emergency, which was in force until 10 July 2020, has now ended, except in Mayotte and French Guiana, where it has been extended until 30 October 2020.
Consequently, as of 11 August 2020 (excluding Mayotte and French Guiana):
- The deadline for appealing against fixed penalty notices and fixed fines has returned to 45 days from the date shown on the notice;
- For businesses, the deadline for designating the driver of a vehicle registered in the name of a legal entity has returned to 45 days from the date shown on the notice;
- The time limit for appealing against increased fixed fines has returned to 30 days. If the increased fixed fine concerns a traffic offence and was sent to you by registered post, the deadline for lodging an appeal is 3 months from the date shown on the notice.
