With numerous new projects and record activity, 2023 has once again reaffirmed ANTAI's vital role in contributing, alongside the French Ministry for the Interior and Overseas France, and with the backing of the Interministerial Delegation for Road Safety, in implementing all safety policies for our fellow citizens.
In this regard, ANTAI teams are committed to supporting the systematisation of the process for applying fixed fines, a key challenge for ANTAI in the years to come. In 2023, three new offences, categorised as "chain offences", became payable by fixed fine (including offences related to petty theft, street vending, and introducing fireworks or firecrackers into sporting venues), bringing the total number of such offence fines that are standardised and handled by ANTAI to eight. With one million fixed penalty offences recorded and registered by the National Processing Centre between the end of 2018 and the end of 2023, including 373,000 in 2023 alone, the increase in fixed penalty fines further demonstrates ANTAI's significant contribution to enhancing the effectiveness and quality of public safety initiatives.
